RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR WEBSITE MAINTENANCE & CONTENT EDITS

This Agreement is made between Versacore Tech Designs, hereinafter referred to as   “The Developer,”
and your business hereinafter referred to as “The Client.”


1. Purpose

The Client has chosen to take over responsibility for the ongoing maintenance, updates, and content editing of the website located at [website URL]. This document serves as a release of liability for The Developer in relation to any issues that may arise following the transfer of those responsibilities.


2. Acknowledgment of Responsibility

The Client acknowledges and agrees that by taking over the maintenance and editing of their website, they assume full responsibility for all changes made to the website’s design, structure, plugins, content, and other elements.


3. Release of Liability

The Client agrees that The Developer shall not be held liable for any errors, malfunctions, bugs, loss of functionality, data loss, or website downtime that may result from any modifications, updates, or edits made by The Client or any third parties acting on The Client’s behalf.


4. Backups Responsibility

The Client is solely responsible for creating and maintaining regular backups of the website files and database after the handoff. The Developer is not responsible for recovering lost data or restoring the website in the event of failure, errors, or data loss due to updates or changes made by The Client. Restoration services, if requested, will be provided at The Developer’s current hourly rate or quoted project cost.


5. Paid Support Clause

Should The Client request that The Developer assist in fixing or restoring any part of the website after The Client has made edits, such services will be billed at the standard hourly/project rate of $___/hr (or per quote), and payment must be made before or upon completion of the requested work.


6. No Warranty Post-Handoff

The Developer makes no guarantees or warranties—express or implied—regarding the functionality or performance of the website after control has been transferred to The Client.


7. Entire Agreement

This document represents the entire agreement between the parties concerning post-handoff website responsibilities and supersedes any previous written or oral agreements.
